I still do sometimes. I think that memorizing things is good for the mind. I used to watch Unsolved Mysteries when I was little and I still remember the number they posted at the end of the show. I also remember the phone and pin number of a calling card that I used throughout high school. I think that using this skills which were outside of class helps me memorizing things, especially things to do with numbers, in class.
